Covid Update
At Humboldt Orthodontics, your health and the health of our staff are of the utmost importance. To ensure your health and the health of our staff, we follow universal precautions in our operatories and office.
Even though there is low risk in Humboldt County, it is crucial that everyone in our community actively follow infection control practices to prevent the potential spread of Covid-19.
With this in mind, we want you to be aware that patients will have a different experience when visiting our office and we want to prepare you for your next visit. We have implemented new protocols that will preserve the Social Distancing Mandate and uphold the New Infection Control Guidelines.
Prior to your appointment, we ask that you postpone your appointment and reschedule for a future time IF:
•You or anyone in your household has been ill during the past 2 weeks (fever, cough, loss of smell, flu-like symptoms, etc..)
•You have visited with friends or family that were or may have been ill in the last 2 weeks.
New protocols for the day of your appointment:
•We ask that patients brush & floss their teeth at home prior to their appointment, as our brushing station will be converted into a hand washing only station.
•Our waiting area will have very limited seating, no magazines, and the game-station will be off. We ask those that are not patients kindly stay in their car.
•Patients are asked to wear their masks or face-coverings as they arrive to our office. We’ll have the patient remove it once seated in our dental chair.
These guidelines have been set for the safety of our patients, staff, and community. Along with your efforts, we will be able to stop the spread of Covid-19 and return closer to the normalcy we use to have.
We thank you for understanding these important guidelines, and can’t wait to see your smiling faces! Even as you visit us wearing your masks ☺️
